Pretty little girl

That's Sweetheart's sister, Melissa.
She's only 9 this year, and is quite the precocious little girl.
Isn't she pretty..? Loving her sparkly eyes!
Well, I think she's such a sweet darling~ (albeit a fiery temper... haha!)

I used to not really talk much to her and all, but guess what?
She initiatively broke the ice with me one day. She sat right next to me, turned and started asking me what my favourite colors were, and numbers, and who my best friend was, why i wore a silver butterfly ring on my thumb, etc etc.
You know, little things & questions that matter to children.

I've even forgotten that I myself, used to do exactly the same things, and ask exactly the same questions in efforts to start up a brand new friendship with the new girl seated next to me, each time we changed classes in Primary school.
Life was so easy then, and making friends was really so simple.
All that mattered within me & the new girl, was whether we liked the same colors (if not, we'd grow to like each other's anyway), whether we had similar favourite cartoon characters, or if we could swop our 'poppy-drawered' pencil cases or miniature pocket-sized dolls to play...

Whenever im around her, I feel the need to fuss about her like a big sister or a mother hen. Or be her playmate in the many games i've almost forgotten i had ever played. Or share her toys and play pretend with dolls.

But i'm no longer feeling all those emotions from the point of a young girl, but actually having this inclination to want to look after her and make her happy each time i see her. Especially when she shares secrets and dreams with me, aww...

Maternal instincts acting up again! Argh...

I want a daughter!
